Had a lovely breakfast. Not the cheapest in town but far superior to a Weatherspoons. I don’t like eggs but no problem swapping out for an extra sausage. Service was lovely.

Beautiful tea shop in the Spanish area. Tables inside and outside with sea views. You get a table number, order inside and a waitress brings the food within minutes. Beautiful porcelain and cutlery but wooden sticks for spoons. Delicious tea and cakes. Really good treat!

Fantastic food at decent prices. Staff are lovely and attentive. The gluten free options are great and my partner who is very sensitive to gluten has eaten here multiple times without ever being ill. Overall a lovely place to come for breakfast, brunch or lunch!

Nice little cafe/tea room in a lovely spot, very close to the beach. Food and cakes looked lovely, large selection on the menu, beer ice cold and coffee was really tasty. Staff attentive and chatty, large seating area indoor and out. Also dog friendly outdoors (not sure about indoors) nice atmosphere too

We (minus the brother) really enjoyed this tea room, it wasn't you're 'quirky' type that you normally expect and so it was set in a nice, spacious part of the Spanish City building. The staff were very friendly and despite experiencing a bit of a hardware failure with the till, they managed to keep things running smoothly and kept the atmosphere lively! The restaurant itself was great, with plenty to choose from on the lunch time menu, to the vibrant patisserie counter, we were a little spoilt for choice! Location was excellent, right on the sea front and a not so long walk away from Whitley Bay Metro.

Visited for breakfast with a couple of friends. We were slightly worried that we might have had to wait for a table but found one no problem despite it being a rather busy Saturday morning (following Parkrun nearby). The hustle and bustle created a really nice atmosphere. We didn't have to wait too long to be served at the counter or for the food to be brought out. I had planned on a bigger breakfast choice, but after seeing the cakes on offer, opted for a cheese scone and shared a lemon meringue. We all felt that it was very reasonably priced for the quality of food and the clean and friendly atmosphere. Will definitely be returning!

I went for the first time with a friend for brunch and cake, I was blown away, not only was the food being lovely but the cake selection was beautiful and so so many options. However the best part was the staff, super kind and friendly, smiley and helpful. I didn't know what cake to go for and was helped out by the most lovely kind blonde lady. All the staff were wonderful and my visit was fabulous. Looking forward to my return. Torn between two cakes lady :)

This is a lovely place and will have to go quite far to find something comparable let alone better. The patisserie lives up to the frech implication in the cafe‘s name, coffee is very good and the hot breakfast on the next table looked excellent too. The building itself, especially the central hall used by the restaurant next door is alone worth the trip.
